With hope all but fading, he found the help he needed.

Meet Kolim Ullah

Kolim Ullah is a fisherman who lives in the rural city of Osmaninagar in Sylhet, Bangladesh with his wife and six children. In 2021, he suffered an injury to one of his toes while working, which later spread to both feet. Unfortunately, he had to amputate both toes after consulting with a doctor.

Over time, his left foot worsened, and in late 2022, he sought medical attention and was diagnosed with a condition called gangrene, which developed due to a lack of blood flow along with an infection. He was unable to afford the required procedures and had to leave his condition untreated. Kolim's condition continued to worsen, causing him unbearable pain and leaving him in urgent need of medical attention before it became too late.

In February 2023, he visited our medical center, and after diagnosis, it was clear that he needed immediate action to prevent the infection from spreading further. When the medical center staff visited his home, Kolim expressed his concerns about losing his leg. The medical center's manager, Kamrul, provided emotional support, and the team worked diligently to ensure that Kolim received the necessary care and treatment.

In March, specialists have determined that gangrene has caused damage to his muscular and vascular systems, and he is currently under their care. The medical team has been providing Kolim with transportation and financial help while he receives treatment and recovers. We will continue to work hard to ensure that Kolim receives the right treatment to improve his health, and keep this page updated on his condition. By supporting our cause, you can help provide medical care to more people in need, just like Kolim.
